What are the Carols at the Royal Albert Hall?
Every year, the Albert Hall lets the public have the chance to see if they have what it takes to give the performance of a lifetime or at least to be able to sing in key. The last few days just before Christmas is when one of the world’s most famous arenas turns into one gigantic carol service.
Anyone can come down and join in with this massive Christmas singalong. It isn’t all just traditional carols you’d usually hear people sing from door to door – there’s also a good dose of modern Christmas classics thrown in for good measure.
Thousands get to sing along with a full orchestra performing providing the ultimate opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit.
When do the Carols are Royal Albert Hall take place?
Performances take place at the following dates and times:
- Saturday 21 December at 2:30 pm & 7:30 pm
- Sunday 22 December at 2:30 pm & 7:30 pm
- Monday 23 December at 2:30 pm & 7:30 pm
- Tuesday 24 December at 11 am & 4 pm
Are there specific family-friendly performances of the Carols?
All the shows are family-friendly but one, in particular, is noteworthy for some families.
On Monday 23rd Decembers there is an early performance at 10 am known as the Relaxed Carols. This is a special version deemed suitable for children and adults with sensory issues, communication impairments or learning disabilities.
There will also be chill-out spaces located just outside the auditorium.
How much do tickets to Carols at Royal Albert Hall cost?
Tickets range from £22.49 to £62.50 depending on where you want to sit.
Tickets on the Rausing circles generally go up to £40, while those on the arena floor start at £53.
